Ooops, I did it again

Oh, how time flies.... If you haven't heard yet, Caroline is pregnant. We're just over 16 weeks, and she's getting over the worst of the morning sickness (hurrary!). Everybody's happy that Caroline is back up and around, because nobody really likes Derrick's cooking. Plus, Derrick's been too busy to do a good job keeping the house clean. At least we haven't had to wear any dirty clothes!

The week before Taylor & Joshua found out about the pregnancy, Taylor had started praying that Heavenly Father would put a baby sister in Mommy's tummy. He was SO excited to hear that Mommy did indeed have a "baby in the belly." For the first few weeks, he & Joshua were adamant that the new baby must be a girl and refused to consider the possibility of a boy. "No! It's a Madeleine sister, not a Joseph brother!" Lately we've been able to help them see how wonderful it will be to have either one. We've still got 10 weeks before we find out.

It looks like Derrick is keeping his job for now, although there have been some layoffs in his department. So many of our friends have already or will soon be getting laid off (there are a lot of airline employees around here), we truly are blessed. Although there was a one-week trip to New Jersey in January, it looks like Derrick will be able to work from home as much or more with the new company as with the old.

Grandma & Uncle Ben are here for a week- Caroline's put them to work painting, staining, and generally renovating the house (again). The problem is, we'd need them to stay a month or two to get it all finished. Oh well - we'll just keep moving on one thing at a time....
