Double, Double, Toil and Trouble

Joshua has been something of a nightmare lately. He's cut hair off of Madeleine's My Little Pony doll (Taylor had spent his own money to buy it for her for Christmas), poured soap and shampoo into air vents and the toilet innumerable times, scooped water *from* the toilet with a drinking cup, broken one of Madeleine's bracelets, spat in the face of one of his preschool teachers, and generally been wild, mean, disruptive, and disobedient.

We're pretty sure about the "why" behind it- Caroline has been terribly sick (yep- pregnant again) and hasn't been able to get up and around very much. Joshua is definitely suffering from a lack of attention. Madeleine is showing some of the same symptoms, but she's not acting nearly as badly. Joshua wasn't actually this bad when Caroline was pregnant with either Daniel or Madeleine, so we're not sure whether it's just because he's older or whether there's something else eating at him, too.

Anyway, it's been a struggle trying to reign him in. Fortunately, Caroline finally got some prescription anti-nausea medicine the other day and has been feeling a lot better. We haven't actually told the kids yet- maybe once Joshua understands why his mommy hasn't been spending as much time with him he'll understand better. Even though we haven't mentioned the pregnancy yet, Taylor has been telling everyone that his mommy has a baby boy AND a baby girl in her tummy. We certainly hope not! Anyway, we're due in September, so it'll be a fun, fun summer....
