A midsummer night's post

Us

Caroline wipes out everyone at Monopoly
Well, Caroline's sister, little brother, mom, aunt, and cousin just came and stayed with us for a while. Everyone had big fun shopping at the outlet stores, and they were all super-nice enough to help us work on the house! Elizabeth and Ben stayed an extra week, and did all kinds of babysitting and cleaning. We really enjoyed having them, and now the house seems so empty. Maybe we should have another baby to fill the void.... At work, Derrick got transferred a month or so ago (same company, new department). He's really liking his new department, and of course, he's still working from home, which is always a great thing. Caroline's been a little sick lately- of course, we all remember she has hypothyroidism. Well, they've been having a hard time getting her hormone levels regulated, but now all the tests say that they're fine, and she's still not feeling great. She's lost a lot of weight, so the doctor put her on a high-calorie diet. Of course, her allergies are acting up really bad, too. Taylor is getting cuter by the day. He's constantly learning to make new sounds, but no words yet. He can stand by himself, but he still can't walk without using one hand to balance on something (soon, Grasshopper). He started sleeping through the night (in his crib, no less) a while ago, which was a great relief for mommy and daddy.

Family

Well, Caroline's brother Timothy is getting ready to go on a mission- he's just about got all the paperwork ready to go. Any bets on where he'll wind up serving? Last we heard, he was hoping to go to Russia. Guess we'll find out pretty soon! Brian and Kim are still enjoying being newlyweds- and we heard they might do study abroad in Italy?? Cool!

Friends

Careen just got back from her mission, and is already hard at work (too hard to come visit us!!). Christine will be getting back next month, too. Carolynne and Scott are having another baby down in Florida (hey, give us a chance to catch up, guys!). Doug and Lorraine are hoping to get the transmission on their van fixed soon, so they can once again be a two-car family. Kelly and Bev finally got their condo up in Ohio sold (jubilation!!!!) and can quit worrying about it. The last we heard, Todd, Merrilee, Q, and Jess were all still cruising along just fine over in Utah. Steve is getting ready to take the LSAT (how many computer guys do you know that want to become lawyers?), and visited Nauvoo a little while ago. Good luck with law school, Steve!

Did we miss anyone? Let us know!
