I wish the weather would make up its mind. We went through a few weeks of running the air conditioning all the time, but lately, we've been having to run the heat at night. Oh, well.
Derrick went on his first scout campout last month (well, the first since he was a teenager). It's amazing how annoying 12-14 year-olds can be- especially at 2AM. What's with trying to start a fire in the middle of the night, anyway?
In unrelated nature news, Caroline got a nasty poison oak rash. Apparently, she's really, really, allergic to the stuff, and it spreads like wildfire on her. Poison oak doesn't seem to really bother Taylor and Derrick, though.
Derrick's grandmother and grandfather had a little collision on their front porch a while ago. Granny wound up with another rush to the hospital (with a head injury), and Pop forgot to go to the bathroom for 3 days (Alzheimer's). Granny's out of the hospital and doing better, but Pop got put in a nursing home for a 3-week evaluation. No fun.
BA is graduating, with plans to join the Air Force in a year or so. VJ is still working on college. Nathan's getting his car all jazzed up, and Timothy is still (slowly but surely) learning Spanish down in Argentina. Brian and Kim are up in Alaska for a summer internship (we heard they're having record high temps up there- great!). Colleen and David are in the middle of a major remodeling of their house, and are getting a $4300 ta refund from last year! Word is they're going to use the cash to swap their minivan to an SUV.
