The bigger boys got a telescope for Christmas (from that crazy Oma person). We *still* haven't taken it out in the countryside yet, and there's too much light here in town to see Jupiter very well. But here's a shot of our nearest celestial neighbor. This is only about half the magnification that the telescope can do; I had trouble getting the camera to focus at anything higher. But the boys thought it was "awesome" to see all the detail on the moon craters.
Thanks Oma!

Your carpet incident had me gasping and choking with sympathy. SO sorry. :(
